Cookies

 

This is a quick and simple cookie dough that you can easily freeze for later use. Takes great holiday cookies. This recipes make around 24 medium sized cookies.

 

 

Ingredients

 

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • etc...

 

Sift all dry ingredients together into a large mixing bowl. Stir wet ingredients together and heat until just warm (110-115 degrees F). Slowly mix wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Turn out onto a lightly floured surface and knead lightly. Cut into shapes, put on cookie sheet and cook for 15 minutes at 365 degrees until golden brown.

 

 

Ebi Tempura

 

Fried Shrimp. A Japanese recipe.

 

 

Ingredients

 

  • 12 large shrimps
  • 1/2 cup panko (Japanese bread crumbs)
  • 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • oil for frying

 

Peel shrimp and make a couple incisions on the stomach side so that it stays straight. Put flour on shrimp lightly Dip the shrimp in beaten egg. Cover the shrimp with panko. Heat oil in a deep pan to 350 F degree. Fry shrimps until brown.

 

*Makes 4 servings

Risotto, Chicken

 

An Italian rice dish.

 

 

Ingredients

  • 500g chicken breast
  • 1 shallot
  • 1 pinch saffron
  • 150ml creme fraiche
  • 250g peas
  • 1 tablespoon chopped onion
  • 500ml chicken stock
  • 90g butter
  • 40g parmesan cheese
  • Salt & pepper

 

Cook peas in boiling salt water for 15 minutes. Cut chicken into strips. Saute chicken in butter for 3 minutes, then add chopped shallot and cook for 2 minutes. Add 50ml stock, creme fraiche and saffron, then leave to simmer for 5 minutes. Add peas.

 

In a large pan, saute onions in butter, add rice and brown for a minute. Add 150ml stock, stir well, then add rest. Once rice is cooked, add rest of butter, then cheese. Serve with chicken and peas.

 

*This recipe also works well with turkey.

* 1 cup soy sauce
* 1 tbsp oyster sauce
* a generous estimate of ketchup 
* lotsa ground beef, pre-cooked
* onion, bellpepper, potato, carrot (optional)

If ya wanna get a heart attack, put these all together in a frying pan, sprinkle 1/4 cup sugar around, fry intensely for 5 minutes (sweat is good), and you're done!


FEATURES:

      • It is advisable though to make it a point to alphabetize your recipes. That means, when you add a recipe, make sure it's in the right place, alphabetically according to the recipe names.
